The Institute for Life Coach Training (ILCT) is approved by the International Coach Federation (ICF) as an Accredited Coach Training Program (ACTP) meaning that all courses offered by ILCT can be utilized to meet the coach training requirements for ICF credentials, as well as CCE requirements once you have become credentials.
There are two credentials most often pursued from the ICF – the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) and the Professional Certified Coach (PCC). You can read more about the ACC here.
Our program is a progression of classes designed to enable a student to develop his or her skills with each class is taken, while working towards becoming a professionally-credentialed coach. To graduate from ILCT’s ACTP program, students will complete 130 hours of training to meet all of the coach training requirements for the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential, including the courses listed below.
Once the coursework is completed, the final requirement to graduate from ILCT’s ACTP program are the completion of two essays and a final oral exam, conducted by ILCT, allowing students to apply to the ICF for credentialing after meeting other ICF specified criteria.
Because ILCT is an ACTP program, students who graduate from our program will not have to complete 10 hours of mentor coaching before applying for their PCC as they will have received mentoring throughout the program. Completion of the ACTP program takes approximately 1 ½ to 2 years, depending on your schedule and the average tuition for completing the program is $7345.
